Alec Dolman: Chiropractor
Alec Dolman graduated from the University of Glamorgan in 2012 after four years of full time study, obtaining a Masters of Chiropractic degree. He has spent the last three years working in Westbury (Wiltshire), but after relocating back home to Gloucestershire, is now thoroughly looking forward to commence practicing at HQCC.
Alec was inspired to become a chiropractor from a young age, after experiencing first hand the benefits of treatment for both pain relief and improved performance in relation to his sporting excursions. These mostly included football and futsal, culminating in participation in the Uefa Futsal Cup in Bulgaria, 2012.
This combined love and interest in sport and chiropractic allowed Alec to act as first team medic to Trowbridge Rugby Football Club in a dual role with his work in Westbury.
Alec finds that the most rewarding part of chiropractic isn’t just simply providing pain relief, but is in getting to meet and know a whole variety of people from all different walks of life. He has a particular interest in how psychosocial variables can impact on pain perception and has completed further learning in this area since graduating. He believes that maintaining professional development is paramount in providing optimal patient care. He is also qualified in:
- Dry Needling
- Proprioceptive Muscle Testing
- Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation
“I feel genuinely privileged to be a chiropractor and take great satisfaction in helping others experience the role that chiropractic care can provide as part of a healthy lifestyle. I feel very fortunate to work within a clinic that has a similar ethos to patient centred care as I do and I’m looking forward to becoming part of the team.“
